Thread: Need help getting N speeds


i apologize if has been asked or explained before. honestly, not advanced enough running linux because have hard time understanding commands , codes , such. better @ can simplify me. i'm running linux mint 11 lxde

issue is, have desktop set need wireless. using belkin wireless g usb adapter , working fine, pretty slow. 54 mbps.

did little searching online, bought different belkin n+ adapter because router is, , turned out, couldn't work. sold it, , bought d-link dwa 140 because read on here somewhere works right out of box. however, wasn't case. managed search , find thread below followed directions written tbabill on first page. adapter working, @ 48 mbps. not fast wireless g adapter.
