Lines being printed that don't appear on PDF document created in Illustrator.. Pulling my hair out!
so here's story:
i own company designs , sells sewing patterns men's clothing made home sewers. have patterns professionally drafted , sent me poster-sized pdf. open in illustrator, move things around, change fonts, etc... , make 34" wide copy printed @ copy shop. that's fine , dandy, , prints out perfectly.
i use acrobat xi pro open 34" version , print adobe pdf poster setting of 7.5" x 10" people print @ home. open each page of multi-page pdf in illustrator add border, alignment marks, page numbers, etc... , save same pdf.
now here weirdness begins. reason, there random chunks of lines (identical pattern lines throughout rest of document) aren't supposed there. don't show on screen when open file in illustrator or adobe, printed every time. i've started whole process scratch, tested 34" wide version @ print shop (prints perfectly), , split pages again, , phantom lines still there!
i've attached photo took of 1 of pages in question. file on screen exact 1 printed, , can see, not same
can me? can send pdf files in question if need be!
oh , if helps, have been saving pdf files press quality illustrator. other settings/info need? in advance!
i rather see portion of pdf, although may not show problem. careful releasing type of original product drawings in entirety. wonder if original pdf generated cad program? perhaps file has few hidden lines in it? while in illustrator working on pdf has been supplied you, @ entire file in outline view ( command / control - y ). hidden elements might show up, if do, delete them , modify , scale file down 7.5x10" size. lines appearing in same place of time? or random placed lines?
