Thread: Inappropriate Kernel on Install of 12.04

hi, attempting install 12.04 on lenovo t41.
on boot - error message "this kernel requires following features not present on cpu: pae; unable boot - please use kernel appropriate cpu."
how use different kernel? please keep answer simple, not technical.

the simplest solution;

a) install lubuntu 12.04, includes non-pae kernel
b) if not comfortable lxde environment in lubuntu, can install ubuntu environment
code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
this suggestion only, have not tried this.
