Thread: ping: Destination Host Unreachable

i have 2 pcs: 1st has ubuntu 12.04 clean fresh install, , 2nd running ubuntu 12.04 livecd.
connected ethernet wire.

want access 2nd computer's share 1st one, cannot see it.
initially, had problem "network disconnected".
have solved switching ip addresses of ethernets dhcp mode manual mode:
192.168.0.2 , 192.168.0.3 . net mask set 255.255.255.0

when try ping 1 computer another, "destination host unreachable" error.
please, tell me, how solve it?

if connect 2nd computer (with livecd) windows pc, works fine.
2 ubuntu computers, issue still occurs.
