Thread: No more firefox - Adobe flash
apologies not ubuntu issue - i've installed ubuntu on number of family/friends machines , happy; ealderly members surfing firefox. issue adobe no longer supporting flash on linux - can't quite bottom of it. firefox seems work ok using flash @ moment - mean time going hve migrate/change google chrome?
as understand it, firefox/linux won't able install versions of flash after current 1 security updates provided 5 years. adobe , google have come pepper install flash on linux right google's chrome browser supports it. long web sites don't require flash versions newer 11.xxx work properly, i'm not sure there's immediate problem.
can sort of see adobe's position in adobe seems tolerate linux, barely; see no significant $$$ in it. having support pepper means less hassle , expense adobe. guess we'll see how shakes out down road. flash not hot , growing technology doing on web without pain now.
