Thread: Is there a way I can get rid of the "Ambience" theme for good.

i'm not going rant here, got tired of unity , removed it. switched mate, working out great until tried use compiz cairo-dock.

compiz slows down netbook ridiculously, noticed every time toggle on window borders change awful charcoal-color title bar orange buttons, overriding custom theme settings had, , seemingly messing them.

there way can fix this?

compiz uses 3 windows decorator: gtk-window-decorator (which you're using), kde-window-decorator , emerald. if want change decorator, must change default gnome theme.
