Thread: [wlan1 txpower off ] turns wlan0 off why ?

hello i'm newbie ubuntu have learned alot in 3 days. anyway start running 3.2.0-24-generic alongside windows (ahh need delete it)on small compact q laptop. having problems wireless ...basically want turn internal wireless card off...i have external alfa awus036h , have correct drivers installed ,now want disable internal antenna have tried bioses internal card disabled on boot ?...and there no option disable together. if try using kill switch (i.e button turn wireless off) switches off both internal wireless card , external alfa.....my alfi wlan0 , internal wlan1.....so run code in terminal.....
sudo iwconfig wlan1 txpower off after run iwconfig check , terminal says tx-power off internal adapter , on (27dbm) external adapter run sudo iwconfig wlan1 txpower off can see green light go out on alfa ?
turning internal card off why external card turn off ?
terminal says has tx-power=27 dbm how can off ?
plus when ran alfa on windows led alot brighter not getting enough power ?

aircrack refusing unzip terminal or gui ?
saying doesnt zip file when downloaded aircracj-ng ????
should start new thread question ?

i'm not sure internal wireless device, if turned off in bios, else need.

far aircrack_ng concerned, isn't in repositories more, don't support here. support, check backtrack forums
