.cp and .cp.bak file extensions

hello,

i transitioned captivate 7.0.  have captivate project created in earlier version of captivate, perhaps 4 or 5.  have 2 files project, 1 .cp file extension , 1 .cp.bak file extension.  not able open either captivate 7.0.  know how can access project?

hi sarah,

 

you might have created these files in captivate 4 or earlier, because captivate 5 onwards versions save project .cptx.

 

captivate 7 cannot open .cp or .cp.bak files.

 

you have open these files in captivate version 5, 5.5 or 6, one. (click on file > open , browse .cp file).

after opening .cp file save .cptx , can opened in captivate 7.

 

cp.bak file first needs renamed .cp , open 1 in captivate 5, 5.5 or 6, , save .cptx, open .cptx in captivate 7.

 

you may face issues while updating project files there gap of 3-4 versions.

 

p.s. : make backup of .cp , .cptx files (copy them location well), once .cp file opened in later version cannot opened in prior version.

when i try using AE CC 3d camera tracker after the first step it says "Analysis solve failed." help?

im attempting editor , trying edit segment video game (bo2) , im trying have text stick wall in video. every time try using camera tracker spends 5 minutes completing first step , guess succeeds because goes second step says "solving camera" or that, red bar appears saying "analysis solve failed." do? if you're trying use 3d camera tracker on movie froma vieo game not shot real camera, camera tracker unable solve "real" camera matched scene.
