Trouble with Crop and Quick Select--HELP!!

okay, i'm getting frustrated. when try use quick select tool or crop photo in photoshop cc, screen keeps cycling between showing image , black screen. because of this, can't see i'm doing select or crop photo properly. doesn't this, i'm baffled figure out how fix it. keeps flashing between two, spending more time on black screen photo.photoshop2.jpg photoshop1.jpg

this has been known problem windows 8 graphics processor unit (gpu) drivers. working gpu vendors , microsoft come solution.

 

in meanwhile, changing gpu drawing mode 'basic' in preferences should rid of black screen flicker. 

 

to this, first go preferences --> performance.

a dialog box pop up, locate 'graphics processing' area:

click advanced settings , change drawing mode 'basic'

click ok, , should able continue without further issues.

 

 

this problem can solved upgrading hardware, here helpful forum threads may answer more of questions:

why photoshop blink? (windows 8) , black screen flickering (for mac).
