Thread: MiniDLNA not serving all files

hi there

having problems minidlna not serving files.

opted install "stedy" version on flawed "oneiric" official version.
#sudo add-repository ppa:stedy6/stedy-minidlna
#sudo apt-get update
#sudo apt-get install minidlna

edited config file , made appropriate changes directories, etc.
#sudo gedit /etc/minidlna.conf

problem having serves 35% of files client (a network capable onkyo receiver).

i've tried running in debug mode, specifying configuration file.
#sudo minidlna -d -f /etc/minidlna.conf

gets scan files. press "ctrl+c" when it's complete. restart minidlna.
#sudo service minidlna restart

after doing this, 100% of files appear on receiver, however, receiver says "cannot play" 65% of files (it skips files , play files listed prior rescan in debug mode).

makes interesting if take of files won't play , stick them on usb thumb drive (the receiver has usb port), files play. wouldn't appear codec problem (all files flac).

here have ideas?
thanks!

try:

code:
sudo minidlna -r
that scan library, takes 5-10 minutes new titles appear. note, cpu levels high while scanning libraries.
