Thread: Trying to upgrade from 11.10 to 12.04

when logged in on ubuntu server got "new version available message", chose upgrade. process went fine , rebooted.

however, after reboot, still have message "new version available". when type do-release-upgrade (-d) tells me there's no new version available.

now, when @ uname -r, thought should 3.xxxx i'm still @ 2.6.39.1-x86_64

when do:

lsb_release -a [11:40:17]
no lsb modules available.
distributor id: ubuntu
description: ubuntu 11.10
release: 11.10
codename: oneiric
when sudo apt-get update checks sources on "precise" instead of "oneirc"

did upgrade go fine, or i'm still missing something?

, yes, tried sudo apt-get update , upgrade.

thanks.

a long shot, maybe mirror has yet update. try one.

, (-d) wont work, just:

do-release-upgrade
