Thread: Ubuntu 12.04: Can't install from LiveCD, stuck at Ubuntu dots screen, no desktop

hi,

trying install ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit) live cd (verified sha-1 sum , verified disk after burning).

after booting live cd, boot process gets stuck @ ubuntu text , blinking orange dots. @ first, dots progressing (on/off) after while stuck @ white light , nothing happens after that. never manage desktop.

output lspci gives following:

i've tried booting live cd both acpi=off , nomodeset boot options made no difference (still stuck @ ubuntu dots , no desktop). tried combining these options no difference.

find strange have ubuntu 11.10 (64-bit) installed on same laptop without problems , working flawlessly.

give me helping hand?
