Thread: Use all of my RAM in Ubuntu Server

i wondering if can use 8 gigs of ram in server computer.

every forum post have seen online impossible do, , applied windows. however, people in real life have said linux 32-bit capable of using of ram computer. have no idea correct.

computer dell poweredge 2650 running ubuntu server 10.04. has 32-bit processors (as in intel xeon 2.8ghz). has 8gb of ram installed in it.

it provides sdram memory capabilities 256mb 12gb

proof computer capable of using of ram.

how can use 8gb of ram in computer?

you can use of memory if have pae enabled kernel installed, believe comes default on 10.04 server.
