my new ssd arrived morning install ubuntu 12.04 desktop, made bootable flash drive iso , installed, installation went flawlessly, upon booting system first time realised selected server iso mistake!


has been elementary mistakes?

hi, relatively new linux (have used many live disks) , have had install of ubuntu 12.04 few days now. part have found easy use , have been comfortable it. have first question can't resolve myself: adding googles repository list. when first ran command supplied google found did not have wget installed. used apt-get install it. worked fine (as far can tell) re-ran googles code : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add -deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free , message 'gpg: conflicting commands' tell me going wrong , how fix please new script : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add linux_signing_key.pub need edit /etc/apt/sources.list , add line @ end deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free end hope find usefull edit: need root or use sudo make changes /etc/apt/sour...

hello! title reads trying on world of warcraft horse heck of it, , having spent last 8 hours trying virtualbox windows vista figure out drivers needed cannot installed able play game , configuring/installing wine , wow itself, beginning run out of patience , lust figure out... turn more direct help! has tried this? had success? comments or tips? cheers! yes world of warcraft private server doable. have been playing world of warcraft private servers years using wine. stay away player vs player servers there people cheat. , bother other players. wont go experiences that. right i’m using wine 1.5.3 ever comes ubuntu should work fine. if video card bit old recommend using -opengl extension better graphics , performance. pre-cataclysm play pve deathpod, works little no lag. cataclysm have been playing pve astralwow, buggy playable. Thread: video metadata editing??

i have been searching time way edit metadata of video file created along de-novo file. specifically, vlc example, displays metadata text when begins playing file. trying access to. seems me, if there way create metadata in first place, there *must* way edit it. how? using either 11.04 or 12.04 kubuntu. nautilus it's nice icon displays of photos , vids. typically use gwenview , gimp photos , vlc , avidemux video. these tools work things, occasionally, there video has wrong or verbose metadata , far have found no way edit stuff. vlc has option purports work in cases, not reliable, looking swiss-army-knife solution can handle multiple formats (avi/wmv/mpg/mp4/etc/etc) in manner exfalso audio files. "ffmpg" command-line tool not work way, may part of app does. there video geek out there in ubu-land has known solution? folks use create these files in first place? thanks, ct use c...
