hi, have received indesign file gives me message when try open it.

 

can not open "name.indd" because saved newer version of adobe indesign (cs7.0).

you must use version or later open file. enable opened in version, choose save indesign cs4 or later, or export idml.

 

does message possible mean created in creative cloud , has saved down in order open indesign file outside of creative cloud?

yes, that's means. may have been created indesign cc, has different file format earlier versions.
