the error mine in not reading 'terms , conditions' in full disappointed. 4 months after deciding try creative cloud, i'm fed myriad minor bugs , not enamoured software/cloud service. latest issue me being loss of ability import raw lightroom 5. i'm not posting resolve these issues, i'm posting express dissatisfaction news attempt cancel subscription met news that

this software, not mobile phone contract. rip off. it's been made quite plain australian customers of adobe being ripped off.

 

i want out. caution others committing. adobe suck. creative cloud sucks.

 

in order obtain academic 'rates', compelled use '12 month plan' style membership, option tertiary membership. 'exit fee' there in small print none read.

that not true. in australia edu version $ 15 per month, 50% of 8 months $ 60. not big deal imo. in edu rent $ 20 , in europe $ 26 per month, 73% more expensive. being ripped off... , corporate taxes on european sales 12.5% in contrast 40%.

 

for full, non-edu versions, worse. $50 in us, $ 52 in australia , $ 82 in europe, or after corporate taxes, assuming gross margin of 50%, net pofits of $ 15 in us, $ 15.60 in australia , $ 29.75 in europe. so, being ripped off???

 

you should have read small print. clear: adobe has rights, customer none. willingly entering contract adobe cc, surrenders , rights adobe indefinitely. willingly puts on adobe handcuffs , accepts being held hostage.

 

note cc hostages show signs of 'stockholm syndrome' here.
