upgrading & moving LR to new computer

hello! love help.

 

i have question few question in it!

 

 

i have been using lr3 2 years , have 1 catalogue has been on same computer whole time.

 

i bought new mac , want 3 things:

 

1. lr on new computer (yes still have cd , #)

2. upgrade newest lr (5 think)

3. catalogue have been using 2 years on new computer  , have work lr 5

 

i want these things work together, hoping able upgrade lr5 , still able use old catalogue.

 

so question should first? lr on new computer, upgrade, transfer catalogue , work that.

separate 2 tasks.

 

upgrade on same computer, once sure working, move new computer; or

 

move eveything new computer in lr3, once sure working, upgrade lr5.

 

it doesn't matter order this.

also, throughout entire process, not use opportunity rearrange files , folders reason, not try "clean up" folders or make more logical. move them new computer yes, other that, no rearranging or moving files or folders here there.

hi, relatively new linux (have used many live disks) , have had install of ubuntu 12.04 few days now. part have found easy use , have been comfortable it. have first question can't resolve myself: adding googles repository list. when first ran command supplied google found did not have wget installed. used apt-get install it. worked fine (as far can tell) re-ran googles code : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add -deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free , message 'gpg: conflicting commands' tell me going wrong , how fix please new script : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add linux_signing_key.pub need edit /etc/apt/sources.list , add line @ end deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free end hope find usefull edit: need root or use sudo make changes /etc/apt/sour...
