Thread: gparted unallocation partition


hi,

have laptop 1 hard drive , several partitions , windows vista , linux installed. going upgrade linux errors made impossible reinstall it. live cd not detect partitions , gparted sees 1 big unallocated space, , prints message
code:
can't have overlapping partitions.
here result of sudo fdisk -lu, don't know how read it...

can me ? don't know do, don't have external disk space save data, saved /home. i'd overwrite or format sda8 / , maybe sda9 (/home) don't want touch sda3 (windows) or sda7 (my data).
