How do I fix an error with Adobe AcrobatAdobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox and Netscape 10.1.7?

adobe acrobatadobe pdf plug-in firefox , netscape 10.1.7 shows needs updated ..which doesnt. redownload , reinstalls & says have it. how rid of unneccessary update message?

have firefox 23.01 & windows vista 32

who/what shows reader needs updated?  10.1.7 latest reader version vista.

 

there have been many reports of fake update notifications lately, try trick users downloading malware - not adobe.com website.
