Thread: Compiling C++ in Ubuntu 10.10
i have installed ubuntu 10.10 inside windows xp. when booting i'm given choice between ubuntu gui (where can edit code using default gedit) or "recovery mode" (which gives me system prompt). how compile filename.c program created gedit in gui without rebooting recovery mode? i'm happy use system prompt command-line compiling etc when try edit using $ gedit filename.c doesn't work. want edit , compile program without rebooting time.
you mean have been rebooting recovery mode every time wanted use terminal?
round way of doing things
there should no need ever use recovery mode, open terminal instead:
applications > accessories > terminal
or ctrl+alt+t
note 10.10 has reached end of life , no longer supported or recieving upgrades. should think upgrading newer version.
