Thread: Wireless Internet Access Drops intermittently Even when Network Connection is Active

dear all,
have fresh install of ubuntu 12.04 32bit on thinkpad t400

problem - able connect wireless connection without issue , works fine. internet access stops automatically every , then. able access after few seconds when keep of refreshing browser.


solution tried -
1) set "ipv6" ignore in wireless internet settings -- no help
2) set wireless power management "off" -- no help
3) tried use option of disabling "wireless n" suggested in post http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1978457
has reduced frequency still on occassion see internet access drop.

did have problems before did fresh install of 12.04?

can tell wireless router , wireless card using?

sounds similar issues had wireless router, there many things can go wrong (and many different wireless routers , cards) quite possible entirely different problem similar results.

hi, relatively new linux (have used many live disks) , have had install of ubuntu 12.04 few days now. part have found easy use , have been comfortable it. have first question can't resolve myself: adding googles repository list. when first ran command supplied google found did not have wget installed. used apt-get install it. worked fine (as far can tell) re-ran googles code : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add -deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free , message 'gpg: conflicting commands' tell me going wrong , how fix please new script : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add linux_signing_key.pub need edit /etc/apt/sources.list , add line @ end deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free end hope find usefull edit: need root or use sudo make changes /etc/apt/sour...
