CF Builder 2 won't play with Firefox

i have been running cf builder 2 on mac os 10.8.4 standalone. can preview templates in safari , chrome not in firefox (v23). if set firefox default browser in cfb2 prefs , preview template, ff starts , displays correctly once subsequent requests give me alert "close firefox. copy of firefox open. 1 copy of firefox can open @ time." 

 

i have googled , tried deleting lock files , profiles etc. doubted problem way since dreamweaver, aptana studio , eclipse cfeclipse plug-in launch templates in ff successfully.

 

so tried uninstalling cfb2 , of eclipse 4.2 , installed eclipse 3.7.2 , cfb2 plug-in... same problem, cf builder won't play firefox.

 

any answers?

i'm having similar problem coldfusion builder 2 (with hot fix) on mac os 10.8.4.  however, can preview templates in safari.  when try add google chrome in preferences > general > web browser, message says 'the location value not valid path name.'.  firefox shows in list of browsers, can't add preview tab.

 

i don't have problem on pc.

 

any appreciated.  cheers.
