Issues after installing latest Flash Player

hi,

 

a little while ago downloaded , installed latest version of flash player 11.8.800. have mac running os x 10.6.8 , use safari 5.0.5 browser.

 

since installing have been having 2 main problems.

 

the first won't able click on buttons on webpage. reason buttons seem not react either mouse click or enter key. there doesn't seem consistency in buttons or when though.

 

the second problem if go play video, e.g. on facebook uses flash, closes safari error report.

 

i have followed troubleshooting guide , uninstalled , reinstalled couple of times including deleting file directories mentioned. have checked preferences set correctly in safari. 1 thing have noticed in 1 of faq's mentions if flash installed correctly there should 2 files 'flash player.plugin' , 'flashplayer.xpt' in 'computer > library > internet plug-ins.' directory. these files not there before , after re-installing.

 

the way can stop 2 errors mentioned close safari , re-open, of course isn't practical.

 

any advice on may causing , can rectify appreciated.

have tried creating user account (admin) , installing flash player under account see if installs , works differently?

that's best test see if user account needs permissions repaired. plugins not installing should symptom of broken permissions in user account.
