Playback freezes after about a second
i have premiere elements 11 installed running on imac 27" i7 3.4 ghz os x lion 10.7.5 (at latest patch level), 4 gb ram 1333 mhz ddr3
amd radeon hd 6970m 1024 mb 215 gb of flash storage (primary boot device os , applications) , 1 tb sata primary data storage.
premiere elements 11 ran time, , without issues.
without me having done change in environment, stopped working during playback of clip.
- i render clip, , plays second of clip, , stops playback.
- from on play, step back, rewind , fast forward buttons fails work, go previous edit point , go next end point still working.
- i can still edit clip, playback fails work.
- hit render button, , nothing.
- share video (expot different formats), , althought seems re-render clip, renders frame (freezeframe) stoped playback.
- the file looks workable if press play shows 1 frame duration of entire clip , stops, if clip has 19 seconds of material on it, show 1 frame got stuck, 19 seconds.
i have run searches, , not yet see others of same type. so tried fiew things.
- i verified whether had latest version of elements 11 - , did.
- i verified wither have latest os update applie - did.
- i suspected corrupt application file, dropped elements in recycle bin, emptied bin, restored version of application backup taken when app still running without error (a week ago) - no change.
- i uninstalled application using adobe's uninstaller, rebooted , downloaded software again , re-installed it, checked new versions - latest, started new project, imported new video file - hit render (which renedered, yet playback again stopped - same issue before.
- i have checked hard disk drives directory or file anomalies - fine - no issues - same problem
- i have check free space - hard drives used 50%
hardware absolutely fine, other video programs quch quick time works perfectly, incl apple imovie (which not fan of)...
any ideas / else having issue?
you've covered of resource issues.
but source video? model of camcorder video coming , format , resolution it?
if non-camcorder video -- it's fraps video or on-screen recorder -- problem.
