Why does Digital Edition not work in desktop mode for WIndows 8?

i have installed recent version of java , downloaded , installed digital editions.  can open digital editions in desktop mode when select book cannot turn page or move new page means.  thing seems work select new page , toggle between full screen , partial.

i don't think ade uses java @ all.

i run in desktop mode in windows 8 , reads books , turns pages fine: either using left-right arrow keys,

or clicking on forward/back buttons each side of scrollbar @ bottom of page.

 

there lots of bugs in ade2.0, , though isn't bug me may you.

try replacing ade2.0 older more reliable v1.7.2.

(you can have them both installed @ once if like.)

version 1.7.2, little difficult find, available on adobe site windows , mac.

i have been searching time way edit metadata of video file created along de-novo file. specifically, vlc example, displays metadata text when begins playing file. trying access to. seems me, if there way create metadata in first place, there *must* way edit it. how? using either 11.04 or 12.04 kubuntu. nautilus it's nice icon displays of photos , vids. typically use gwenview , gimp photos , vlc , avidemux video. these tools work things, occasionally, there video has wrong or verbose metadata , far have found no way edit stuff. vlc has option purports work in cases, not reliable, looking swiss-army-knife solution can handle multiple formats (avi/wmv/mpg/mp4/etc/etc) in manner exfalso audio files.
