Thread: Moving dual boot ubuntu to seperate partition

ok have ubuntu dual booted windows.
im upgrading windows now, or reinstalling whichever needs done.. gone slow crap
im wondering can without impacting ubuntu>? or should move ubuntu new partition , dual boot them there first? (i ready bit on , no biggie impacting windows when move im reinstalling anyway, want know how move ubuntu (just copy , paste?) , how re-enable option of start on bootup)
kinda feel should format partition before reinstall tempted towards option of second partition....
im looking advice on how it.

hold on, talking wubi installed inside windows?

because mention dual boot people wouldn't call dual boot. on contrary, having ubuntu on separate partition proper dual boot called dual boot.

, try use wubi (if that's have) instead of ubuntu because work in different way , people make difference.

if it's dual boot on separate partitions don't need before installing windows.

on other hand, if it's wubi, lost if format c: , install clean windows. because it's installed program in windows , way lose programs.

if upgrade, guess should stay there, other programs.
