Adobe Reader Freezes after reinstallation

i having trouble adobe reader freezing while using on older windows xp computer. tried uninstalling , reinstalling adobe reader. after reinstallation, reader not open existing pdf documents , froze quickly. tried unstalling adobe reader , installing earlier version. earlier version had same symptons.

 

any suggestions?

you can try using tool first remove traces of reader computer:

 

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html


then, can download full offline reader installer from

 

http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/

 

after downloading, restart computer , run installer before doing else.
