Thread: Windows 7 Homegroups

is possible connect windows 7 homegroup via ubuntu 12.4 ?

cannot work. have both set same homegroup name, have both set share folders on homegroup, , can access files ubuntu machine on windows 7 machine, not vice versa.

confirm, when selecting connect server enter...

server: (windows pc name)
type: (windows share)
share: (i leave blank)
folder: (i leave blank)
domain name: (windows 7 user name)
password (windows 7 password)

appreciated.

basically -- no. older windows versions (xp, vista) can not connect using new win 7 homegroups.
