Thread: libgdk-1.2.so.0 and gsview

i running ubuntu 10.04 lts. trying gsview working. followed instructions on gsview website, no response when trying start gsview using gui. when, in terminal, navigate appropriate directory , try start gsview, following:

/usr/local/bin$ gsview
gsview: error while loading shared libraries: libgdk-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory

cannot find file on system. presume supposed link, don't know ought reside, or should point to.

have used synaptic install starts libgdk.

grateful info can fix this.

i have managed fix this.

latest gsview apparently uses 1.2 version of gtk , gdk, have been removed ubuntu's repositories. gtk , gdk version 2.0.
located .debs 1.2 versions , installed them.
needed create link named libgs.so pointed main gtk library.
