Question about saving images to print

i shoot in raw

edit

save photoshop file

but

if want print them later, @ lab or blacks, convert file 8 bits/channel , save high res. jpeg?

it depends on lab, of course.  high-end pro labs take 16-bit tiffs , provide target profiles can soft-proof images , adjust them accordingly, few of them take psds.

 

consumer commercial labs not understand format not jpeg , give blank, uncomprehending stare if ask them printer profiles soft-proofing.

 

the answer question have contact printing lab , ask them exactly want.  others think best irrelevant.

 

never heard of "black's" before now.  googled , appear based in canada.
