Ripple effect while capturing

i got old mini dv camera (sony dcr-hc40e) uncle (my old 1 broken) , works charm. first camera tape installed firewire / ieee 1394 card in computer transer recordings.

 

the camera has 4:3 sensor changed ratio 16:9

 

here comes question:

when capturing, fast moving objects have ripple effect in them. when capturing finished , place clips on timeline, i'm not getting effect. here's screenshot:wrinkles.jpg

it's not big deal, want know cause of , why problem occurs while capturing.

i'd not worry it.
