Thread: Flash installed successfully, plugin crashing on use

according page i've installed flash 11.2.202.235, i'm running linux 3.2.0-24-generic (64-bit) , browser of choice google chrome-beta.

when first installed chrome, flash wasn't working. purged flashplugin-installer , went manually install flash. downloaded tar.gz , copied contents of /usr/ folder own, , created directory /opt/google/chrome/plugins , placed libflashplayer.so inside folder.

checked plugins settings inside chrome , 1 flashplayer installed, 1 manually me. followed version check website , didn't see problems.

tried play flash video , flash plugin crashed.

did more research , came across addon firefox called flash-aid. removed files copied on manually me, , installed firefox, ran flashaid wizard , installed beta version of adobe flash. when first ran addon/script err'd directory doesn't exist /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/ message, created directory, reran addon success.

@ point rechecked adobe flash version checker, , listed installed version in firefox 11.2.202.233.

went website flash on , flash plugin again crashed.

did echo "overridegpuvalidation=true" >~/mms.cfg , still nothing worked

i've installed flash 3 different ways, attempted use 2 different browsers, , viewed different flash content. while, plugin repeatedly crashes on everything.

i've exhausted options googling around looking various solutions, , i'm hoping here can provide viable solution
