Flash player installation has been plaguing me for years

flash player installation has been plaguing me years.  new updates remove old player before attempting install update.  update fails install leaving me no flash player @ all.  support failure register less worthless.  show 20 lines of registry no instructions of do.  why don't fix this?

flash player activex (internet explorer)

flash player plug-in (all other browsers)
