Premiere Pro identifies 25fps AVCHD 1080p video as 100fps

i purchased new panasonic camcorder (uk pal standard) shoots full hd @ 25fps progressive.  when import clips premiere pro (cs6 or cc) both programs report file properties 100fps, windows 7.  in fact, every program can lay hands on reports codec frame rate 100fps.

i’m @ loss understand why.  if record video camcorder set 25fps interlaced, premiere pro reports frame rate 50fps – took mean 50 fields/sec @ least makes sense.  100fps has me beat though.  should works fine, there’s no change in operation or use.

any ideas anyone?

download mediainfo (very reliable) , analyze clip.
