How do I automate continued categories in an InDesign index?
i finishing catalog company , going through index, 8 pages divided 3 columns per page. i'm happy design , how index turned out, except gets confusing when groups of subcategories (index level 2) start off new columns without context parent category (index level 1). top of each column indicate when orphaned subcategories belong parent category when divided across multiple columns (i.e. "continued 'index level 1'" @ top of each column when needed). there way can automate process? when said , done, don't mind manually inputting text, if ever rebuild index, lose work.
