Using PreviewHandler of Adobe Reader XI in .NET lead to application hang

we using pdf preview handlers since long time.

 

currently facing problems when using preview handler of adobe reader xi.

 

it seems if pdf preview handler of version has problems while being unloaded.
the application seems hang 5 10 seconds when closing application or when explicitly calling finalreleasecomobject.

i built simple winforms application reproduce behavior. application shows pdf preview handler.


when stopping application might recognize delay in circumstances leads application crash warning of operating system.

do have idea wrong version of pdf preview handler?

 

any appreciated.

i can imagine adobe's reaction. like: "the preview handler written use microsoft shell components , not provide api. supported apis described in acrobat sdk". not hopeful able further this, if want try, you'd need raise developer case.
