Book-Function/PDF: Links between documents in pattern pages...

hello,

we try use indesigns book-function complex presentation. should work this: habe book-file collects single indesign files projects. @ beginning there "start" file standard-content, followed 3 pages tables of content. these pages followed (round houndred) project pages. there 3 different types of headline-formats dfferent types of projects. why there ae 3 tables of content: each type of project one...

all project pages have same pattern pages 3 links @ bottom refer 3 tables of content. if on project-pag can choose wih table of content want go back.

from while while there new projects, want duplicate older projects, insert them book file , update tables of content.

 

thats theorie!

 

now our problem: if make pdf file book of links tables of content area working, not. indesign tells links ae broken, if same. once had pdf document working. insert new project file indesign telles again links broken - not in new file - if havent changed in other files. , works , not differnt time time, me seems quite arbitrarily...

 

does know problem?

are these links hyperlinks, or cross-references?

 

inter-document cross-refences known extremely unreliable. don't work hyperlinks, sure pointing document contains 3 tocs? id doesn't relative links, far know, you'd need set links absolute correct file. it's possible, too, hyperlinks between files unstable cross-references.
