Thread: black screen when installing kubuntu

i'm trying install lubuntu on old laptop (win xp). laptop works fine, win xp slow 128mb , want move lubuntu. downloaded iso, burned disc , made laptop boot cd. lubuntu installer options , seems install (with blue screen). goes black , nothing.

did memory-check, fine, , cd-check, ok. wrong? else can try lubuntu going?

i found thread , tried in f6 menu , took out 'quite splash'. still nothing, after bit of blue screen goes black. cd seems going on ever.
