Thread: Screen goes black after lid close, flashes on only when moving mouse.

i have installed 12.04 usb stick , applied updates through update manager. system acer aspire d250 (with intel graphics card, no restricted driver needed)

issue if close lid (no matter lid action set to) screen turns off, , shows short "flicker" if move mouse. can terminal ctrl-alt-f1, , screen works fine there.

workarounds tried:
restart x server lctrl-prsrc-k - not resolve issue, brought login screen screen still flashes when move mouse

suspend , resume system - no change in behavior

reboot system: (as expected) work, isn't of workaround!

suspend before closing lid - works of course.


happy try workarounds or ideas fix issue, need suggestions!

did change settings in power management application?
