PP points to an original file which has been deleted

i import original file (which 90% trash), edit it, export h.264, delete original, open edited file, , pp points original gone (get message "where file?..." can point new h.264 file? there work around? not want keep originals. i've lost lot of files way. can me out?

the problem see approach re-linking media new file not work because ppr looking file 1 hour long , reference clip starts at, say, 2 minutes clip , ends @ 5 minutes.  when try relink shorter file try start @ 2 minutes file , end @ 5 minutes.  if new clip 4 minutes long, don't know happen, ppr might throw error, or not re-link @ all.

 

you might try, instead, editing project (cutting out 90% of footage) , using "collect files , copy new location" consolidate original footage file size archive friendly.

you have shorter "master" clip work (and save forever).  delete original long file.  feature doesn't work advertised, , types of footage never works.

when i try using AE CC 3d camera tracker after the first step it says "Analysis solve failed." help?

im attempting editor , trying edit segment video game (bo2) , im trying have text stick wall in video. every time try using camera tracker spends 5 minutes completing first step , guess succeeds because goes second step says "solving camera" or that, red bar appears saying "analysis solve failed." do? if you're trying use 3d camera tracker on movie froma vieo game not shot real camera, camera tracker unable solve "real" camera matched scene.
