What's wrong with my stage window in D12?

i installed director 12.0 on win7 machine.  registered copy purchased upgrade director mx 2004, though older version of director never installed on win7 machine.

 

when open *.dir file or try create new director file, looks fine except stage window.  stage window blank, has minimal content area (about height of title bar) , cannot resized vertically, horizontally.  when authoring area switched windowed tabbed mode, stage tab blank , looks stage area has been shifted off-screen above tab area because there appears few scanlines of content reacts mouseover activity.

 

have inadvertantly screwed sort of workspace customization property?

 

any appreciated!

when i try using AE CC 3d camera tracker after the first step it says "Analysis solve failed." help?

im attempting editor , trying edit segment video game (bo2) , im trying have text stick wall in video. every time try using camera tracker spends 5 minutes completing first step , guess succeeds because goes second step says "solving camera" or that, red bar appears saying "analysis solve failed." do? if you're trying use 3d camera tracker on movie froma vieo game not shot real camera, camera tracker unable solve "real" camera matched scene.
