all colors, patterns, , colored background pic changed white/transparent. things left line , curve segments. thought use "undo..." few times nothing returns way before while removing drawn lines. noticing visible layer icons (the eyes) grey in color, instead of being black (layer on) or blank (layer off). how corrected having turned on?

i figured out. pointer hovering on each layer's "eye" icon, press "ctrl" key. toggles ability view layer content while leaving line segments are.
