How to free space in C:?

my ssd c: drive full wondering can transfer hd. 1000 of 7000 photos rated 1 star. might never want see them again. should transfer them out of lr 5 catalog , keep them on hd , backup hd? nice if still call tiny image of them using keywords. other suggestions?

you have lr5 first thing shoud select all photographs in catalog panel hen run build smart previews command library>previews menu. create preview can edited in library or develop module whether original photos dierctly accessible or not.

 

next. haven't mentioned size of ssd chances moving 1000 photos mean you'll in same position @ point in future. so, why not move of photos hard drive , use default store photos in future. catalog  , previews can remain on sdd. video julianne kost describes how can move photos etc.http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/how-to-migrate-lr-to-an other-computer/ steps need follow shown within first 5 minutes, viewing full video worthwhile.
