Aspect ratio problems from ‘freeze frame’ What am I doing wrong?
i uploaded short test video showing camera in mirror.
the video camera sony hdr-cx320e (the ‘e’ europe)
the camera settings were;
recording = standard hq
frame rate = 50i
hd / mp4 standard = hd
x-v color = on
the project settings in pe9 set to
pal (i'm in uk)
avchd
1080i 25
when media , drag time line pe9 happy it, don’t asked if want change project settings.
in first screen clip above you’ll see round lens surround of camaraas seen recorded in mirror.
then, below, took ‘freeze frame’ snap in usual way , ticked (checked) ‘edit in photoshop after inserting’ box.
and again, above, it's fine... far good...
above, how ‘freeze frame’ looks in time lime, looks normal.
but know when request editing in photoshop elements image opened in stills editing package
above, problem get.
this how see image in photoshop elements
the image aspect ratio has changed making imposable practical editing.
if edit image, aspect ratio returned normal when image seen in time lime , main display.
i’ve tried rendering ‘freeze frame’ image before calling edited in photoshop doesn’t make difference.
by way above camera , project settings work fine in other respects , if add graphics in correct position when upload videos youtube (i have upload youtube using hd 1920 x 1080 otherwise graphics misplaced)
so doing wrong guys?
kind regards ... andy
not sure elements, in regular photoshop there setting correcting this. go image>pixel aspect ratio , select 1 matches source footage.
