Thread: Gnome 3 Theme Issues After Migration From Ubuntu 12.04

i migrated gnome 3 shell ubuntu 12.04 64bit, parts of interface broken.

primary issues:
  • chrome, , few other programs uses windows 95 -esque theme
  • intermittently, dragging windows side / corners of screen breaks window decoration , gnome 3 bar @ top of page disappears. have reboot.


hunted through forums , found should uninstall accessibility themes, install gnome standard themes, gnome extensions , make sure adwaita selected. went through , tried (and logged out/in) , haven't had luck.

weird theme appears correctly apps nautilus or desktop.

i have been searching time way edit metadata of video file created along de-novo file. specifically, vlc example, displays metadata text when begins playing file. trying access to. seems me, if there way create metadata in first place, there *must* way edit it. how? using either 11.04 or 12.04 kubuntu. nautilus it's nice icon displays of photos , vids. typically use gwenview , gimp photos , vlc , avidemux video. these tools work things, occasionally, there video has wrong or verbose metadata , far have found no way edit stuff. vlc has option purports work in cases, not reliable, looking swiss-army-knife solution can handle multiple formats (avi/wmv/mpg/mp4/etc/etc) in manner exfalso audio files. "ffmpg" command-line tool not work way, may part of app does. there video geek out there in ubu-land has known solution? folks use create these files in first place? thanks, ct use c...
