Thread: wireless disabled by hardware switch

hello, i'm running ubuntu 12.04 intel corporation centrino advanced-n 6230 network controller. cannot connect wifi because says "wireless disabled hardware switch".

rfkill list
html code:
0: dell-wifi: wireless lan soft blocked: yes hard blocked: yes 1: dell-bluetooth: bluetooth soft blocked: yes hard blocked: yes 2: phy0: wireless lan soft blocked: no hard blocked: yes
i've attempted sudo rmmod dell-laptop running rfkill unblock all, many variants of no success.

radio button dell xps 15z fn+f2, doesn't anything, nor other button combination.

is dell-laptop or dell-wmi that's loaded? find out with:
code:
lsmod | grep dell
remove whichever loaded: example:
code:
sudo rmmod -f dell-laptop sudo rfkill unblock rfkill list all
please post result.
