Thread: Purple flashing screen on boot Ubuntu 11.10

hello there, have installed ubuntu 11.10 on desktop machine, when ubuntu tires boot after grub menu flashing purple screen, seems has been problem in 11.10 there information on internet it, have tried editing menu , did work, after "quiet splash" typed "noapic" , worked, although don't want every time boot, wondering how can save grub menu, highly appreciated, thanks!
