Thread: 12.04 3 monitor (laptop, HDMI, VGA) issue (intel)


i'm on acer aspire laptop fresh install of 12.04 integrated intel graphics.

3 monitors:
1) laptop's monitor.
2) external monitor hooked using laptop's hdmi port.
3) external monitor hooked using laptop's vga port.

randr output sees 3 monitors, can 2 work @ once. ie in display settings turn on combo of 2 monitors , good. try turning on 3rd following error:

the selected configuration displays not applied
help appreciate!

is xorg.conf setup properly?

model laptop acer aspire?

might not support 3 outputs know there 2 external outputs.

have got dvi adaptor can convert vga have 2 vga outputs.

try because might prove me wrong not supporting 3 outputs bit.

monitor tv?
