Thread: 12.04 "saved session" jumbled my workspaces, can't revert

hello, have ubuntu studio 12.04 , tried checking box @ shutdown says "save session future logins." liked setup had in multiple workspaces, thought "why not?" unfortunately, when started again, workspaces smashed one. in top right, 1 workspace shown. windows not smashed together, not function properly. in top right, there no min/max/close symbols, pull-down menus not allow mouse cursor choose item, cannot resize, , 1 window stay on top.

have tried restarting few times without box checked, , have searched startup options , workspace options might fix problem, have not had success. each time, same smashed , jumbled session starts up. lost how solve problem , default. thank time!

solution in 3rd post of thread maxter. responded there bit of clarification of console language used, did solve problem using suggestion.

hi, relatively new linux (have used many live disks) , have had install of ubuntu 12.04 few days now. part have found easy use , have been comfortable it. have first question can't resolve myself: adding googles repository list. when first ran command supplied google found did not have wget installed. used apt-get install it. worked fine (as far can tell) re-ran googles code : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add -deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free , message 'gpg: conflicting commands' tell me going wrong , how fix please new script : wget -q https://dl-ssl.google.com/linux/linux_signing_key.pub -o- | sudo apt-key add linux_signing_key.pub need edit /etc/apt/sources.list , add line @ end deb http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/ stable non-free end hope find usefull edit: need root or use sudo make changes /etc/apt/sour...
