Thread: cron "permission denied" (After 10.04->12.04 u/g)
none of cronjobs run more (neither root nor users). /var/log/syslog shows:
but can't see else. (i "trivial" cron entries "* * * * * /bin/echo hello"). restarting cron doesn't help.code:apr 30 09:22:01 goose cron[6206]: permission denied
anacron jobs failing "unable set uid 0".
/var/spool/cron/crontabs//* ownership right <user>:crontab
(possibly related, several log files 0 sized, e.g., /var/log/messages [syslog:adm])
auth.log shows interesting. dunno means, though...
